Why Pythagorea?
Named after the Greek mathematician and philosopher Pythagoras of Samos (6th century BC), Pythagorea pays homage to the famous Pythagorean Theorem. This theorem states that in a right triangle, the square of the length of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of the squares of the other two sides. The game frequently incorporates right angles and encourages users to apply the Pythagorean Theorem to compare segment lengths and distances between points.
The Tree
The Pythagoras tree is a fractal constructed using squares and right-angled triangles.
